Create gorgeous outdoor spaces, but picking the right flooring to match the natural surroundings, to create wonderful walkways, paths and patios

Just because you're laying your floor outside, that doesn't mean your creativity has to suffer. In fact, you can be even more imaginative as you're not constrained by matching to walls, sofas of other furnishings. A simple walkway can be transformed by mixing bricks and concrete, or adding an unexpected swirl of color, not to mention the huge color array of outdoor tiles on offer that can make outdoor steps and pathways look instantly urban chic.

Paths to Style

Daltile quarry tile is a fantastic place to start, as the unglazed tiles are naturally stain and slip resistant, and also come in an abrasive grain style for greater traction, especially in wet or icy conditions, or for is you have young children. There are also options with Daltile to create mosaic effects to add interest to outdoor areas, with the added bonus of taking tiles up outdoor walls too if you want to create a continuous style. For their porcelain ceramic styles, check out the P'Zazz and Reflective Elements ranges. Or alternatively, opt for natural stone - and the Tumbled Stone Pebbles will add dynamism to your outdoor areas. Brickfrom Chemical Stain is another resilient option for walkways, and comes in a wide range of hues to suit the outside areas of any home.
